According to the 9to5Google website, there have been reports for several years that HTC will “launch” Android Wear smartwatch, but HTC has not launched such products. HTC has worked with the US sports equipment brand Under Armor to develop a fitness tracker. Now, the spied photos of the HTC SmartWatch (codenamed “halfbeak”) appeared on Weibo.

The photos show that the Halfbeak design is similar to the Moto 360 Sport, with a circular display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels, designed for fitness. Like the previous fitness tracker Healthbox, Halfbeak was also jointly developed by HTC and Under Armor with the Under Armor logo on the back.

Another photo also shows that Halfbeak runs Android Wear, but it is the old 5.1.1 version. In addition, it also uses a 4-pin charging system. It is unclear whether HTC plans to ship this product, or it is just a prototype. In my opinion its a cool wearable due to the fact that the collaborative development is called “halfbeak”.
