Recently, the Redmi Note 5 Pro equipped with the Snapdragon 636 have been released. Also, Xiaomi’s rival RealMe (sub-brand of OPPO) launched the RealMe 1 equipped with the MediaTek Helio P60. 1. Helio P60 Has Powerful CPU & Overall Design Process
MediaTek’s Helio P60 SoC (system-on-a-chip) is built on 12nm TSMC FinFET technology, whereas the Snapdragon 636 is fabricated on 14nm LPP technology. The process node technology gives the Helio P60 (P60) an edge in being more energy efficient.

3. Helio P60 Integrates An AI Accelerator (NPU)
MediaTek’s Helio P60 is the first mid-range SoC to sport a dedicated AI processing unit (mobile APU) which enables applications such as facial recognition, object identification, computational photography, among other things.
On the other hand, the Snapdragon 636 also supports Neural Processing Engine (NPE) SDK with the help of the Hexagon DSP. The SDK works with some of the most popular AI frameworks such as Caffe/Caffe2, including Google’s TensorFlow.
