Recently, Qualcomm held the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Forum in Beijing, China highlighting their work in the field of AI. In view of the above, Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 710 mobile platform which integrates an AI Engine (AIE) or AI platform. Interestingly, Qualcomm’s AI platform emanates from the Snapdragon 820 to the latest flagship processor, Snapdragon 845. 2. Snapdragon 710 Has Better AI Engine (AIE)

As per the design, both processors do not have a dedicated AI Accelerator/NPU (Neural Processing Unit). However, Qualcomm’s approach is based on the efficient utilization of the Kryo CPUs, Adreno GPU, and the onboard Hexagon DSPs.

As per the comprehensive analysis, both chips enable AI applications such as computational photography (real-time image enhancements), image recognition, face-unlock, voice recognition, etc. However, the AI Engine in the SD710 is more powerful.
